Sakernas Training February and Susenas March Batch 1 2024

The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) and the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) are important sources of employment data and sources of household socio-economic data in Indonesia. Data from Sakernas and Susenas have been widely used by various groups. both at home and abroad. Therefore. The continuity of availability and quality of Sakernas and Susenas data must be maintained and
improved.

On Monday, January 22 2024, BPS Pemalang Regency held the opening of the February 2024 National Labor Force Survey Officer Training (SAKERNAS) and Wave 1 National Socio-Economic Survey Officer Training (SUSENAS) 2024. Training activities were carried out in a combination of online and face-to-face/offline.

The online SAKERNAS training was held for 2 days on 22-23 January 2024 via Zoom Meeting, while the offline training was held on 24 January 2024 at the Pemalang Regency BPS Office, attended by 7 prospective enumerator officers and 3 prospective supervisory officers with accompanied by regional instructors Mr. Saikhumei Rizal and Mr. Asyeh Haqiq.

Wave 1 SUSENAS training consists of 2 classes, namely class A and class B. Online SUSENAS Wave 1 training will be held for 3 days on 22-24 January 2024 via Zoom Meeting while offline training will be held on 30 January 2024 attended by 27 prospective enumerators and 14 prospective supervisory officers accompanied by national instructors Mrs. Milona and Mrs. Lusi Adi Saputri.

Head of BPS Pemalang Regency, Mr. Moh. Fatichuddin, S.Si., M.Eng had the opportunity to open this training. In his direction, the Head of BPS Pemalang Regency conveyed the importance of SAKERNAS data in capturing employment conditions. Officers must understand the flow of questions well because there is a change in data collection mode where SAKERNAS February 2024 uses the Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) mode.

SUSENAS data is also very important in photographing social and economic conditions in Pemalang Regency. The implementation of the March SUSENAS was also integrated with the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (SERUTI) activities for several intersecting census blocks.
