Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) Preparatory Meeting

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) will hold the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) in June 2024. The 2024 SEP is a continuation of the 2023 Agricultural Census. The SEP will be carried out to record individual agricultural businesses (UTP), legal entity agricultural businesses (UPB), and other agricultural businesses (UTL).

The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey was held with the aim of providing accurate and up-to-date agricultural economic data which can be used as a reference for the government and stakeholders in planning and planning policies both for internal interests and for national development and knowing the welfare of farmers.

Several SEP objectives include obtaining information on the characteristics of agricultural business units, their income, expenses, access to finance, insurance and marketing, as well as obtaining SDGs indicators related to agriculture.

Preparations for the SEP began in May, starting with a preparatory meeting held by the ST2023 BPS Pemalang Regency Team. The SEP field implementation will take place in June 2024 and will continue with processing and evaluating the results until the release of the SEP results in December 2024.
