Friday Recitation

The routine activity of BPS Pemalang District employees on Fridays, besides the Shining Friday Activity, is the regular Friday Recitation. Where after the congregational Asr prayer, each employee reads/recites one verse of the Qur'an.

This Friday (27/12), the recitation started from Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 77 to verse 88. then one of the employees read the translation of all the verses that were recited.

The event concluded with a sermon by the Head of Statistics of Pemalang Regency BPS, Teguh Iman Santoso, who reminded the importance of reading the Quran for the followers of Muhammad. Among other things, it is said that one will receive intercession from the Quran, which some scholars explain generally takes the form of a veil or prevention from calamities or sins in this world. Therefore, the intercession from the Quran is more about the virtue of being kept away from sins that approach us or being protected from calamities that come near us. Wallahua'lam..
