On April 7, 2025, Pemalang Regency participated in a simultaneous harvest festival held in 14 provinces in Indonesia. This event took place in Lenggerong Village, Bantarbolang District, attended by the Regent of Pemalang, Vice Regent, Forkopimda, Agricultural Office, Diskominfo, Tegal Branch of Bulog, BPS, PT Pupuk Indonesia, Bantarbolang Sub-District Head, Lenggerong Village Head, and local farmer communities.
The Harvest Festival attended by various parties is expected to strengthen the synergy between local governments, related institutions, and the community in supporting the food self-sufficiency program.
In the effort to achieve food self-sufficiency, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Pemalang plays a role in providing support through the provision of quality data on harvested area and rice production, which is expected to provide significant benefits for planning and policy-making in the agricultural sector.
This harvest is expected to be a momentum to increase rice production. With the spirit of mutual cooperation, Pemalang Regency is committed to continuing its contribution to achieving food self-sufficiency.
