Statistical Data Dissemination Workshop to Strengthen Data-Driven Development

The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) office of Pemalang Regency held a Statistical Data Dissemination Workshop titled "Fostering Stronger Data-Driven Development Policies" at The Hotel Winner Pemalang on Wednesday (August 19, 2026). The event was officially opened by the Head of BPS Pemalang Regency and attended by the Head of the Pemalang Regency Communication and Informatics Agency, who served as a resource person. This forum was organized as a concrete step to enhance the understanding and utilization of statistical data in support of regional development planning, bringing together BPS staff and members of the press as participants.

The participation of various stakeholders made this event a strategic forum for understanding the latest statistical data developments while encouraging the optimal use of sectoral data. The quality of regional development planning relies heavily on the availability of accurate, up-to-date, integrated, and reliable data. Through this dissemination, all stakeholders are expected to share a common understanding regarding the importance of formulating public policies based on valid data.

In the management of sectoral statistics, local governments are also required to continuously strengthen coordination among Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) to prevent data discrepancies or overlaps. This collaborative approach aligns with the spirit of Presidential Regulation Number 39 of 2019 concerning "One Data Indonesia" (Satu Data Indonesia). BPS Pemalang Regency reaffirmed the importance of integrated efforts among agencies to achieve reliable data governance at the regional level.
