Abstract

May 2019 in Jawa Tengah there was deflation of 0.33 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 134.36. Inflation in Jawa Tengah occurred in all (six) cities of SBH.
The calendar year inflation rate (May 2019 to December 2018) is 1.04 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 2.62 percent.
The main cause of Jawa Tengah inflation in May 2019 was the increase in prices of red chili, broiler meat, intercity transportation, green chili and sugar. Retaining the rate of inflation is the decline in prices of shallots, rice, garlic, kale and papaya
