Chief Statistician of Pemalang Regency Attended High Level Meeting of TPID Pemalang Regency

Chief Statistician of Pemalang Regency attended the High Level Meeting of the Pemalang Regency Regional Inflation Control Team ahead of Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, on Thursday (7/3). This meeting aimed to determine the state of readiness in maintaining conduciveness, especially the prices of basic commodities ahead of the month of Ramadan. The activity was held in Pendopo of Pemalang Regency and was attended by related departments and agencies in Pemalang Regency. The resource persons in this activity were from the Pemalang Regency Police, Pemalang Regency Diskoperindag, Bank Indonesia and Bulog.

From February 2024, prices of basic commodities such as rice, chilies and eggs have been observed to increase. During this meeting, it was stated that the prices of these basic commodities were starting to fall, although they had not yet returned to normal prices. Stocks of basic commodities are predicted to be available to meet people's needs in the month of Ramadan.
