To generate accurate food data, the Statistics of Pemalang Regency conducts crop surveys and surveys to measure the productivity of food crops. This survey measures the productivity of rice and other crops within sample areas measuring 2.5m x 2.5m. The productivity figures obtained are necessary for estimating production at the district, provincial, and national levels.

On this occasion, the Head of Statistics of Pemalang Regency, Moh. Fatichuddin, personally participated in supervising field implementation efforts. BPS is seriously overseeing quality food data to support national food self-sufficiency. The productivity of rice in Pemalang District itself in 2022 was 53.07* tons per hectare. Meanwhile, the harvested production of milled rice in Pemalang District itself amounted to 405,440 tons. Pemalang's rice production ranks 8th as a rice granary in Central Java.
