In order to coordinate the implementation of Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) and Village Financial Survey (K3), a BPS Pemalang Regency audience was held with the Regent of Pemalang, Thursday (25/4). This activity was carried out in the Pringgitan Room of the Regent's Official House and was also attended by Bappeda, Diskominfo, Dispertan, and Dinpermasdes Pemalang Regency.
In this hearing, Moh. Fatichuddin, Head of BPS Pemalang Regency asked for support for the implementation of two BPS activities at the village level in the future, namely Podes Data Collection and K3 Survey.
Podes data collection is a complete village-level data collection activity that produces data that describes the potential of an area at the village, sub-district and district levels throughout Indonesia. There are many variables recorded in Podes, starting from geographical areas, population, infrastructure, economy, and so on, so they are widely used in determining development policies. Apart from that, the 2024 Podes data will be the initial data material for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census.
Meanwhile, the K3 Survey, including financial surveys carried out by BPS, is used to meet the needs of data users for analysis such as preparing GRDP Expenditures.
Apart from that, Moh. Fatichuddin also conveyed strategic indicators for Pemalang Regency, as an illustration of current conditions and material for evaluation and determination of future policies. Some of what was discussed included the economic conditions of Pemalang, agricultural conditions, potential business fields, unemployment, poverty and HDI.
In this regard, the Regent of Pemalang appealed to the Departments/Agencies to coordinate and consult with BPS more often regarding data, in order to answer existing problems. Because development based on data will be effective and right on target.
