Rural Price Survey (SHPED) BPS-Statistics of Pemalang

The Rural Price Survey (SHPED) is carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regularly every month to monitor developments in agricultural commodity prices along with the prices of production factors used by farmers. Prices of goods and services are recorded through the Rural Producer Survey (HD) to look at the production side and the Rural Consumer Price Survey (HKD) to look at the consumption side. Monitoring the development of prices of goods and services from the production and consumption side is used to calculate the NTP or Farmers' Exchange Rate, namely in the form of the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) and the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib). Unfortunately, due to sample limitations, NTP is only available at the provincial and national levels. Apart from NTP, monitoring developments in prices of goods and services from the consumption side is useful for building the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) which is used in calculating the level of price changes in rural areas.
