2024 VHTL and VDTW Training, Recording Annual Tourism by BPS-Statistics of Pemalang Regency

Tourism statistics cannot fail to be one of the activities carried out by the BPS-Statistics. In the context of implementing VHTL (Annual Other Accommodation Services Survey) and VDTW (Tourist Attraction Object Survey) activities, Pemalang Regency BPS conducted VHTL and VDTW Training 2024 in the BPS-Statistics of Pemalang Regency's Hall, Friday (7/6).

VHTL and VDTW activities are annual activities carried out by BPS to obtain overview information regarding the development and prospects of accommodation services businesses and tourist attraction businesses. The tourism sector is one of the economic driving sectors, which has an important role in creating business opportunities, employment opportunities, income and equitable development. The tourism sector involves various closely related tourism industries such as transportation, accommodation/lodging services, restaurants, tour guides, and others.

The scope of the VHTL survey is companies included in category I (Providing Accommodation and Providing Meals Drinking) in the three-digit ISIC551. Meanwhile VDTW coverage includes the five-digit ISIC L (Real Estate) category 68120 and the three-digit ISIC R (Arts, Entertainment and Recreation) category 910 and 932. The VHTL and VDTW surveys are carried out with Computer Assisted Personal mode Interviewing (CAPI) using the FASIH application.
