Abstract

• February 2019 in Jawa Tengah there was deflation of 0.30 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 133.93 Deflation in Jawa Tengah occurred in all (six) cities of SBH.
• The calendar year inflation rate (February 2019 to December 2018) is minus 0.04 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate is 1.51 percent too.
• The main cause of February 2019 Jawa Tengah deflation was the decline in prices of shallots, chicken eggs, red chili, chicken meat and air freight. Retaining the rate of deflation is the increase in prices of garlic, mustard greens, kale, spinach and wages of domestic helpers.
