Provision of Food Crop Survey Area Sample Frame (KSA) and Plots

Friday (22/11), the Pemalang Regency BPS held a briefing on the Food Crop Survey for the Area Sample Frame (KSA) and Plots at the Pemalang Regency BPS Hall.

The material was presented by Puji Kurniawan as the Head of the Agricultural Statistics Team. The material presented included the background of the activity, concepts, definitions, and SOPs for the Food Crop Survey Area Sample Frame (KSA) for Rice and Corn, as well as the Plot Survey. As a continuous improvement effort, the KSA for Corn will use the latest application in the future, similar to the one used for the KSA for Rice. In addition to delivering the material, field officers were also given the opportunity to provide input and convey any obstacles encountered in the field.

The Head of Statistics of Pemalang District, Teguh Iman Santoso, also provided directions. In his directions, Teguh advised the officers to pay attention to the concept definitions and to carry out their duties according to the SOP, because the results of the KSA Survey and the Plot Survey will be used in calculating the productivity of food crops, which will influence government policies related to the availability of the national food stock.
